PLX Weather collects and processes information that is reasonably necessary to operate and secure the forecast service, including account identifiers, selected and saved locations, subscription status information, request metadata, and technical diagnostics related to uptime, performance, and abuse prevention. We also process browser and device context that is routinely included in web requests, such as IP address, user-agent information, and request timestamps, for rate limiting, fraud monitoring, service troubleshooting, and reliability analytics.

We use collected information to provide weather forecasts and related products, manage free and paid feature access, process billing state changes from our payment processor, maintain account continuity, investigate errors, enforce service protections, and improve forecast quality and product stability over time. We may use aggregated and de-identified operational data for service planning and quality measurement, but we do not sell personal information.

The service uses cookies and local browser storage to maintain signed-in sessions, preserve essential site preferences, and remember non-sensitive location context for usability. Some cookies are required for account and subscription functionality and cannot be disabled without affecting core service behavior. If you clear browser storage, you may need to sign in again and reconfigure settings.

We may share limited account and billing reference data with trusted service providers strictly for payment processing, account operations, infrastructure hosting, and customer support workflows. We do not store full payment card numbers on PLX Weather servers. Data is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for operational, contractual, security, and legal requirements, after which it is deleted, anonymized, or aggregated where appropriate.
